Jason Chan Kok Soon

Jason Chan earned his First Class honours Degree of Science Computing and Technology. In university, he collaborated with his senior lecturer undergo PhD research to contribute technology enhancement of the methodology in managing and retrieving open educational resources. The research has accomplished the conceptualisation of data mining and indexing mechanism, also involving faceted search approach towards unstructured search from big data. This study contributes the new methodology of storing and retrieving information in the cloud and eliminating noise data and false information that bring advantages to all open distance learning institution.

After his graduation, he joined multinational organisations and helped to conduct business process and technology infrastructure re-engineering. The implementation brought the organisation a cutting-edge technology that accelerate the business and standing out from the competitive market. Furthermore, he introduced the online and mobile advertising with analyzation and optimisation skills to the organisation, meanwhile he implemented high availability architecture and cross-platform application with integrated micropayment technology to accept small amount transactions from vast online and mobile users.

Subsequently, Jason has designed and developed an integrated project management system that harnessing the innovative Scrum methodology and Agile management process. He then advocate simplified the sprint planning process and task management by taking advantage of mobile technology to enable cross boundary and geolocation collaboration. He further leads his team developed several Software as a Service (SaaS) projects, which have online invoicing and accounting system, mobile human resources and payroll system, real estate sales and management system, mobile micropayment modules, mobile advertising analyzation platform, mobile merchandiser portal, knowledge management system, and also school management system.

Jason believes that with the current Information growth rate, human knowledge is soon to double every month or even day. Before the next generation of cognitive era, people is necessary to study and develop quantum computers by taking the inspiration of the laws of quantum mechanics. This innovation of new technology allowed people to understand and explore more deeper about the quantum world and bring the big impact across human development, medication, education and even more.
